Welcome Families!

My name is Katharine Hsu. I'm a former teacher with a Masters in Education. I've created a learning space where all children can feel happy and confident. We support and celebrate kids with ADHD, dyslexia, HFA, 2E, G/T and anxiety. Our teaching approach creates safety and results for kids who haven't yet discovered their brilliance.

What We Focus on

Phonics & Spelling

Lessons include explicit phonics instruction with tailored multisensory activities, art, and games. We adjust to kids' executive functioning needs and build confidence skills at the same time.

Written Expression

We teach writing as a form of play and use an artistic process. Kids generate their own book topics and through this affirming experience, they strive to become published authors!

Confidence

Instead of criticism, we use praise to improve academic skills. Every lesson always includes positive self-talk, academic-specific compliments, and words of affirmation.
